AAU announces location for the 2024 AAU Red-White-Blue Team National Diving Championships

AAU Diving will head to Texas for the Red-White-Blue Team National Diving Championships
MIDLAND, Tex. (February 7, 2024) -- The AAU would like to announce City of Midland Aquatics Teams (COM Aquatics) the host of this year’s edition of the Red-White-Blue (RWB) Team National Diving Championships, to be held on Memorial Day weekend May 24-27, 2024, in Midland, TX. The City of Midland and the COM Aquatics community are eager to host and share their beautiful facility with the AAU and showcase upcoming talent from around the country.
“We are excited to have our event in Midland and COM Aquatics! We know from their hosting duties from other past national events that they do a wonderful job. The facility and team at the COM pool are top-notch and we can’t wait to bring our qualified divers to Midland and the Permian Basin,” said Charles Collins of the AAU Diving Executive Committee.
To qualify for the “RWB” National meet, divers can attend 1 of 6 qualifying meets around the country. The top 6 divers from the “North” and “South” qualifying events, in the same geographic location, will combine to make a team of 12 from each qualifying event and represent that “Super Region’s” team. Qualifying events from the 6 qualifying meets are: 9 & U, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19 (springboard only) Please see “Red-White-Blue Qualifiers” on www.diveaau.org for current sites and dates. Divers that qualify and commit to attending will be outfitted with their respective teams’ gear and a minimum entry of 2 events. (All qualified and committed divers to RWB meet can enter their age-group specific tower event).
20+ aged divers can attend the RWB National meet without qualification. However, they must contact AAU Diving for approval.
The “RWB” National Championships is the first of two National Championships that AAU offers during the competitive year. This is the first chance where divers can earn a spot on the AAU National Team for 2024 and be eligible for one of our international trips.
In 2023, the AAU National Team competed in Canada, Sweden, and Germany. For 2024, the AAU is expecting to visit new places.
