Dive for Bailey Flip-A-Thon
Troy, New York – On Sunday December 16th from 8am-10am, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Robison Pool will welcome the regions top high school and club divers for a fund raiser benefiting Bailey Wind. Bailey, a senior at Shaker High School, was seriously injured earlier this month in a tragic automobile accident. Sadly, Bailey’s boyfriend Chris Stewart and close friend Deanna Rivers lost their lives. Bailey is an accomplished diver who has signed a letter of intent to attend Tennessee State next year.
Bailey is a member of the Shaker High School Varsity Dive team, Flip and Rip Diving , AAU Diving and USA Diving.
Since Bailey is not able to dive right now, all of her friends and team mates in the diving community will be diving for her at this event to raise funds to help Bailey’s family with medical expenses. Teams from around the region will be represented, with even some coaches participating. More than 50 participants are expected to dive, dive, dive to raise money for their friend Bailey. Many more friends and family will be on hand to support this event and the Wind Family.

Sponsors of this event include RPI, where Bailey dives with the AAU diving team, Berkshire Bank, Flip and Rip Diving and many other local businesses.
Divers from around the region have been soliciting sponsors and funds for this event which will be presented to the Wind family before the Christmas holiday.
